FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this marketing or ministry?

This is digital ministry. Each package is shaped by the church year, your message and your mission--designed reach people where they are.

Why the six month commitment?

Consistency is key with social media and it takes time to

  • Establish rhythm and trust

  • See engagement patterns emerge

  • Build a community

Do we have to approve every post?

No--and that's intentional. Through an onboarding process, we'll agree on your voice, your preferences, your mission and your message.

For Steady Presence, we'll do a quarterly review and for the higher tiers, you'll receive a monthly content calendar to approve.

This keeps the ministry sustainable and on track without bottlenecking and delays.

Who responds to comments and messages?

I monitor comments and messages but do not provide pastoral care. Anything that needs attention is flagged and routed to the designated staff contact.

Do you handle crisis or emergency communication?

No. Crisis communication should be handled by the church, as should any time-sensitive posts like weather closures or time changes in events.

Do we need professional photos and videos?

No. Cell phone photos and videos are perfectly fine. I'll also provide some guidelines and tips to help you get the images you need.

What if we need to add something last minute?

You will still have administrative access to all your social media ministry platforms. You are welcome to add to content I provide. You do not have wait or go through me to post late-breaking news or critical information.

Can we change tiers if our needs change?

Yes. You can change tiers at the end of each six month commitment

What makes Social Media for Churches different than an agency?

I am a pastor with over 25 years of ministry experience.

I understand:

  • the liturgical calendar

  • church staffing realities

  • ministry goals beyond attendance numbers

  • theology, language and tone

And bring my own theology of inclusion, welcome and love of neighbor to the work as well.

How do we get started?

Send me an email and let's have a conversation about your church's needs, capacity and what is the right fit for you.
